Young man killed by artillery fire in Suwayda

NEWS CENTER - Syrian interim government forces shelled a neighbourhood in the city of Suwayda. One young man was killed and four others were injured in the attack.

 
According to a report by Hawar News Agency (ANHA) based on local sources, forces affiliated with the Syrian transitional government shelled a neighbourhood in the city from their positions in the western countryside of Suwayda. It was reported that a young man named Hesan Hatom lost his life and four others were injured as a result of the attack.
 
The statement made by the National Defence Forces Command reads: “Damascus government terrorist forces targeted the western axis of the city using mortar shells and drones, continuing their systematic attacks on contact lines and areas near residential neighborhoods. The attack resulted in the death of one person and the injury of four others, one of them in critical condition. The National Guard Command affirms that our units deployed on the front lines are responding immediately and firmly to the sources of violations within the defensive duties assigned to them, in a way that ensures the protection of our people, the safety of our forces, and prevents any attempt to destabilize security and stability.”
