Syrian Transitional Government closes Hol Camp

NEWS CENTER - The Syrian Transitional Government has closed Hol Camp, located south of Hesekê, following the evacuation of the families of ISIS militants.

The Syrian Transitional Government announced that Hol Camp in the countryside of Hesekê has been shut down. Footage shared online shows fires breaking out in some of the tents inside the camp.
 
Fadi El Qasim, the camp director appointed by the Syrian Transitional Government, stated that the camp was closed “after the completion of the evacuation process.” El Qasim did not provide information about the evacuation mechanisms or the institutions that accepted the families of ISIS militants.
 
After the closure of Hol Camp, images circulated on digital media showing fires in some tents and areas within the camp. No official statement has been made regarding the cause of these fires.
