NEWS CENTER- Baloch women protesting against oppression said: "We will continue to shout louder and stronger. And we will not stop until justice is done."
Baloch women's sit-in protest against the Pakistani state's enforced disappearances of Baloch people, arrests of activists and Baloch Yakjeti Committee (BYC) leaders is on its 24th day. The women marched to the Islamabad Press Club and carried posters of Baloch activists and disappeared people. A banner with photos of Baloch activists read "End social repression. Release BYC leaders" was written on the banner.
Speaking on behalf of the women, a Baloch activist said: "We are voicing our demands and continuing our protests, but the state and its institutions, the media, parliament and the judiciary remain silent and insensitive despite the legitimacy and urgency of our demands. For 24 days, our peaceful protest has faced repeated infiltration attempts to demoralise, intimidate and harras the protesters. Despite this, the authorities have not taken a single step to recognise or consider our just demands. But we are determined. You may choose to ignoure our peaceful voices today, but we will continue to shout louder until you can no longer look away. We are not making up stories. This is a reality for countless families. And we will not stop until justice is done."
